Building Teen Resilience with Valentine’s Day Around the Corner
Valentine’s Day can bring a lot of feelings for teens. Excitement, pressure, comparison, or feeling left out. With hearts and couple posts everywhere, it is easy to tie self-worth to relationships. This is a great moment to focus on resilience.

💕 Try This: The Self-Love Check-In
Have teens answer these three questions:
One thing I like about who I am right now
Something I handled well recently
One person I can reach out to for support
💌 Fun Activity: Write Yourself a Valentine
Instead of waiting for one, create your own. Start with: “Dear Me, here’s what I want you to remember…”Keep it honest, kind, or even a little funny.
📞 A Helpful Resource
Support is always available. Teens can call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, anytime. It is free, confidential, and there to help.
✍️ Journal Prompt
This Valentine’s season, what is one way I can show myself kindness when I feel left out, stressed, or unsure?
💗 Final Reminder
Valentine’s Day does not define your worth. Learning to care for yourself now builds strength for every relationship later.
