Joronda Montano gives an overview of SAMSHA's Strategic Prevention Framework that drives prevention work, steering it in the right direction so that evidence-based strategies affect the desired changes needed. Joronda also goes over strategies that have proven to be effective in affecting change in a community.

Julie Nevin, Principal of Pinal County Juvenile Detention, gives an overview of Kids at Hope explaining how to create a culture of hope in your community. Rick Miller's Kids at Hope entails believing everyone can be successful NO EXCEPTIONS, making strong connections with youth, and teaching youth to time travel back and forth between the present and the future.
