Project Help is an organization established to provide support to families with children enrolled in an AJUSD school.  When families are supported, kids do better in school.  Project Help can provide food, school supplies, clothes, and even help with utility bills.

ABOUT

Project HELP is a community-based program committed to providing short-term assistance for families and students enrolled in the Apache Junction Unified School District.

Project HELP is 100% supported by donations: financial, food, new and gently-used clothing, and household goods provided by churches, organizations, businesses, and individuals. Aid is distributed, as funds allow, based on need, as determined by the Project HELP coordinator.

To be eligible for aid, students and families must meet the following criteria:

  • The parent or legal guardian of the student must apply in-person at the Project HELP office.

  • The family must have children who have been enrolled and regularly attending an AJUSD school for at least two weeks.

  • ALL school-age children living in the household must attend an AJUSD school. Aid will be contingent on continued, regular attendance at the school.

  • The family must live within the boundaries of AJUSD.

  • Written documentation of all income and all expenses must be provided.

Who Are They?

Random Acts of Kindness of Gold Canyon (RAKGC) is a small group of local volunteers that solely exists to make a difference improving the lives of others through Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) and providing mainly homemade products to assist those in need.

Random Acts of Kindness of Gold Canyon’s main focus is making products that assist others in need with their daily living. In conjunction with other community programs we strive to meet the needs of our community.  Our members and community volunteers create quality products that are donated to individuals and facilities in need. It is not unusual for RAKGC members and volunteers to produce 8,000 to 10,000 pieces of product each year. We rely solely on our member’s volunteer hours and our giving, caring community for their donations.  The hearts of these two groups of people make Random Acts of Kindness of Gold Canyon successful and where we are today.
