AJ Halloween Festival

Click here for more info  Halloween is coming up and the City of Apache Junction Parks and Recreation wants to make your night spook-tacular! We will be hosting our annual Halloween Festival from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Saturday, October 30th. The event will take place at Flatiron Park. Entry into this event is free to the community.  We are bringing back our popular Trunk or Treat, sponsored by Lost Dutchman Realty. Join local businesses as we close down the road, they line up their vehicles and pass out handfuls of candy to all the dressed up Ghouls and Goblins.  If any person or business are unable to attend the event or would like to help support our event, we will be accepting candy donations at several locations across the city starting on October 1st. Candy will be able to be dropped at the Multi-Gen Center, Lost Dutchman Realty, AJ Chamber of Commerce, AJ Library, Handlebar Pub & Grill and VFW Post #7968. All candy must be sealed at the time of drop off.  We're selling tickets for our games and activities. Tickets may be purchased the night of the event for $.25 a piece or the Thursday and Friday prior to event at the Multi-Gen Center. All proceeds of the ticket sales go back to the community and the non-profit groups that host booths at the event.  The Annual Costume Contest will begin at 6pm sharp and will be divided by ages. All ages are welcome to enter. Remember to use your imagination and be creative!  Enter your dog in our Howl-o-ween Canine Costume Contest! All canines must be on a leash and have a completed entry form. This contest will begin after the human costume contests are done.  Bring your pre-carved pumpkin out to the park and enter our Pumpkin Carving Contest! Entries will be judged by kids and adults! All pumpkins must be submitted to the judging table by 6:00pm to be eligible to win.
